Maria Serafini, LMT
I began practicing massage in 1996 at The New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts in Santa Fe, NM. Santa Fe is well known for its population of teachers and explorers in the field of bodywork. I feel very grateful that I had the opportunity to study under and work along side some of these amazing practitioners. I then moved around the country a bit, mostly back and forth from Colorado to New Mexico. From 2002-2012 I lived in Santa Fe again. There I studied as much as I could, and also worked at Ten Thousand Waves, one of the top rated spas in the world. I then moved to Southeastern Ohio where I began my own practice, Ease Bodywork and Massage.
My main interest in bodywork is the basic humanity of it. It is interesting to see a body soften in an hours time, due to the simple act of mindful human touch. I like to work at a slower pace and meet each body at the most effective amount of pressure for releasing muscle tension. I use various techniques that I've learned to find what works for each individual. I am fascinated by the connection of the physical body to all other aspects of life, and I am interested in relief for the human condition.
Newish to Denver, I am enjoying learning about this area and meeting the community.
